Graduation/Commencement 2026

Dear Grade 12 Families, 
 
We are excited to celebrate our students at the upcoming Grade 12 Commencement Ceremony
 
Event Details:
 
  • đź“… Date: Thursday, June 25, 2026 3:00 PM
  • đź“Ť Location: First Ontario Concert Hall  
  • 🎓 Student arrival Time: 2:00 PM
  • 🚪 Doors Open for Families: 2:30 PM
  • 🎤 Ceremony Begins: 3:00 PM  (5:00 PM approx. end time)
Gown Distribution: Student gowns will be distributed this week (June 1–June 4) in the school cafeteria Period 5.

  • Students on co-op may pick up their gowns on Wednesday June 3rd after the Co-op Fair (P5)

  • Students who are unable to pick up their gown at school must contact Ms. O’Leary or their guidance councillor to arrange an alternate pickup time

  • Student must have a gown to participate in Commencement, please ask your student to contact their guidance councillor if they have not purchased a gown.

Parking & Arrival: Please note that parking in the downtown core is currently limited and may be challenging due to construction on Main St. We encourage families to:
  • Arrive early to allow extra time for parking
  • Consider carpooling or alternative transportation where possible

Currently the parking lot off Main St is NOT accessible, you must access off King St. or park across the street in any of the Green P parking locations.

May 25th - Valedictorian Speeches/Ice Cream Social (period 2 and 3)

June 1st - 5th - Gown and Ticket distribution (period 5)

  2. Fill out Mandatory Commencement Form: CLASS OF 2026 COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION FORM – Fill out form  (Students must complete this using HWDSB email)

  5. Complete Student form for Statement Crossing the Stage (June 1st - 5th)
